Xiamen Marriott Hotel covers an area of more than 60,000 square meters and features 366 contemporary rooms and suites. With only a few steps away to the seaside, this fantastic location hotel is designed to cater for the guests who are looking for an escape from their corporate retreats in CBD and offer a more relaxing and unique meeting destination.
An open terrace has its own unique challenges and its own unique charm. Based in a boutique hotel this terrace was designed to be a unique experience of covered semi covered and open experience. Flanked by a water body on one side and open farmland on the other side the design had to capture all the views and make the guest feel homely and comfortable.
Serenity Suites lie in the Nikiti, Sithonia settlement in Chalkidiki, Greece. The complex is comprised of three units with twenty suites and a swimming pool. The building units mark out a profound shape of spatial horizon while offering optimal views towards the sea. The swimming pool is the core between accommodation and public amenities. The hospitality complex constitutes a landmark in the area, as an extrovert shell with inner qualities.
The project refers to the interior, landscape and lighting design of the communal areas of a new destination and leisure service small scale mall. The deliverable was to create by spatial design a laid back atmosphere, right in the heart of Bucharest. A welcoming, upper scale and experiential gathering point, so that it could become a community based destination and experience provider. The proposal focused on Research Informed Design, Future Cities design methodology and Storm water Management Practices with a view to establishing a sustainable urban place to be embraced by all.
A “mid-century-utilitarian” union hall was re-purposed as the lobby and restaurant with minimal changes. New hotel structures have a distinct architectural expression, but are harmonious with the existing hall and other unselfconscious industrial buildings in the area. It all fits together, and into its surroundings, seamlessly. The hotel has a concrete structural frame with infill walls made of clay masonry blocks and recycled oil-drilling pipe. It is simple and direct.

This project has set up a variety of functional spaces such as the reception area, display area, conversation area, reading area, children's area, etc.
